Dr. Gabrielle Milillo
I was born and raised in sunny Scottsdale, Arizona, known for its dry heat! I completed both my undergraduate degree in psychology and my medical education at my family’s alma mater, the University of Arizona in Tucson, where I proudly cheered on the Wildcats. Bear Down!
During medical school, I had the opportunity to care for patients from diverse backgrounds, including many families in underserved and rural communities across Arizona. These experiences deepened my understanding of the social and economic factors that influence health and strengthened my commitment to providing accessible, patient-centered care.
Medical school is also where I met my partner. Inspired by our shared love of adventure and travel, we decided to couples match for residency in Austin, Texas. While we may have traded one hot climate for another, we’ve loved making Austin our home. In our free time, we enjoy discovering new restaurants, listening to live music, and spending time outdoors.
My love for pediatrics began at an early age, inspired by the compassionate care I received from my own pediatrician. I admired the way she cared not only for me, but for my entire family, and that experience helped shape the kind of physician I strive to be today. Watching a child grow from birth to adulthood is incredibly special, and having the opportunity to support that growth is a privilege.
I’m excited to serve families throughout Central Texas and begin my career as a general pediatrician at Southwest Pediatric Associates. I have a particular interest in newborn medicine, growth and development, and mental health. I’m passionate about health education and look forward to building strong, trusting relationships with my patients and their families.
