Southwest Pediatrics announces the addition of a new physician to our practice!
Christine Fyda, DO
Dr. Fyda will be working part time as her panel grows. Her hours will, however, allow her to be in the clinic on a daily basis so that her patients will be able to see her for well visits and acute concerns. She will alternate within the suites of the office, depending on the day of the week, so we will let you know which desk to check into when you make your appointments.
Dr. Fyda is the newest member of Southwest Pediatric Associates, joining the group in December, 2009. She is originally from Buffalo, NY and graduated from Colgate University where she majored in Biology and played Division I volleyball. She graduated from medical school at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in California. She came to Austin, TX in 2006 and has recently completed her pediatric residency from UTMB at Dell Children's Hospital. During her medical school and residency training she had the opportunity to work in clinics in Tonga and Costa Rica. She is very excited about the newest member of her family, a nephew that lives in Dallas.
In her spare time she enjoys cooking, outdoor activities and traveling.
